File the FAFSA ASAP
Posted on January 19, 2016
File the FAFSA even if you have not filed your 2015 tax returns. You can update the information later. It’s important to file as early as possible to be at the top of the pile of your determined need. Institutional aid is awarded on a first come first served basis. You won’t get more than a person who has more need, but you might be first on the list in your category. There are workshops on Oahu to help you. College Goal 808 provides free workshops around the island and they are happening soon. Check out the schedule here.
While your parents are working on the FAFSA you can get started on the Hawaii Community Foundation Scholarships Application. One application applies to all of the scholarships they offer. Find out more at the Hawaii Community Foundation scholarship website.
