ARE YOU GETTING READY TO APPLY TO COLLEGE AND DON’T KNOW HOW TO START?

So you want to go to college, but don’t know where, or even where to start looking. The college search and application process can seem confusing and overwhelming at first. Just like any big project, if you break it down into steps and do things one at a time, you should find yourself at a college that will be a good fit for you and your educational goals.

Before you start looking at schools, take some time for reflection about yourself. If you develop some ideas about what you want to study, where you want to live, how you learn, how you participate and how you socialize, it will help you look at colleges to find out how they’d be a good match for you.

This is a good time to take some surveys about yourself. Check out the surveys on Dr. Steven Antonoff’s website collegebuff.com. They are under the writing tab. That’s a great place to start.

If you want to check out schools and what they have to offer, admissions criteria, cost and other details, here are some websites to get your started, check out the college search tab in the resources section of our website.

Happy hunting.
